Women and Leadership?

We have seen an increasing number of women getting elected into office which begs the question : what difference does it make?  Do the increasing number of women in office mean that women have created an equal platform level of political interests, preferences, and perspectives are better represented? Are now public leaders who respectfully stand for women more likely to “act for” women? As much of the empirical literature from most researchers have addressed these questions exam whether women and men are regarded differently as leaders.  The conclusions have been astonishing yet somewhat  similar suggesting; women in office do make a difference.  Despite the many challenges and questions, women continue to be disproportionately outnumbered in many leadership positions. Though, women have gained incredible grounds and pushed through many glass-ceilings in political, corporate, organizational sectors in business and government.
